Built by tradespeople.
For everyone.
Guidr puts a real, qualified tradesperson on the other end of a video call — so anyone, anywhere, can tackle a job with confidence.
From the UK. Built for the world.
Guidr was designed and developed in the UK by a small team of working tradespeople and seasoned DIYers who got tired of watching people overpay, get stuck halfway, or give up entirely on jobs they could absolutely handle with a bit of guidance.
But while our roots are British, Guidr is built for a global audience. Whether you're patching plaster in Manchester, rewiring a fan in Melbourne, fitting a tap in Toronto, or sorting tiles in Texas — the principles are the same, and our growing network of Pros spans trades and time zones worldwide. Local rules and regulations differ, and our Pros are trained to flag when a job needs an in-person specialist or a local certification, wherever you are.
Our mission
We're here to make DIY accessible, affordable, and genuinely empowering. Too many people feel locked out of the most basic work on their own home — either by the cost of a call-out, the fear of getting it wrong, or simply not knowing where to start.
We believe:
- →Everyone deserves access to expert advice, not just those who can afford a full quote.
- →Confidence is built one small job at a time.
- →Tradespeople deserve to be paid fairly for their knowledge, not just their hours on site.
- →Every project — finished or failed — is a chance to learn something new.
Why it matters
Guidr is more than a marketplace. It's a quiet shift in who gets to feel capable in their own home. We want to promote confidence and help people develop real, lasting skills — so the next job feels easier than the last, and the one after that easier still.
At the same time, we're giving tradespeople a new way to share what they know — turning their experience into steady, flexible income, from anywhere they can take a call.
